BIOGRAPHY:

Monifa Jansen; (born March 1993) is a beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Curaçao Universe 2011 and will represent her country in the 2011 Miss World pageant.

Jansen will not take part in the 2011 Miss Universe pageant broadcast live from São Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011 because she did not meet the age requirement to participate in the pageant. Jansen's first runner-up, Evalina van Putten, will compete instead in the pageant.

Since Jansen couldn't compete in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant she will instead compete in the Miss World 2011 pageant in London, United Kingdom on November 8, 2011, trying to win Curaçao's first Miss World title.

BIOGRAPHY:

Daniella Margarita Alvarez Vasquez was born in Barranquilla, Colombia on May 24, 1988. She is a Colombian model and the holds the title of Miss Colombia 2011. Álvarez is 1.74m tall and will represent Colombia at the 61st edition of Miss Universe 2012.

Born in Barranquilla on May 24, 1988, Daniella is the daughter of Gustavo Alvarez and Zandra Vásquez. She has two siblings, named Andrea and Richard. She is a Social Communicator and Journalism graduate from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla. She is now in her second half of specializing in "Organizational development and human processes" at the same institution. She is fluent in English and German. Her measurements are 85-63-97 and her height is 1.73 meters (5 ft 8.5in).

Daniela participated in the Miss Colombia 2011 pageant, representing the Caribbean coastal department of Atlantico. The pageant was held in the historical city of Catagena De Indias where she was crowned on November 14 by 2010's title holder, Catalina Robayo Vargas. She received the highest score in the evening gown competition with a 9.6/10. The swimsuit scores have not been released to the public. She became the 10th woman to be crowned Miss Colombia from Atlantico, which makes it the most successful department, though it is closely followed by Valle, (9 crowns) and Santander, (7 crowns).

Álvarez will participate in the 61st edition of the Miss Universe pageant. She will fight to succeed outgoing titleholder, Leila Lopes from Angola.
